Booking

How do I book an appointment with Dr. Meghna Oza?

You can call or WhatsApp me on +91 94080 30516, or fill the appointment form on the Contact page. Tell me your concern, whether you want a visit at my practice, a home visit or an online consultation, and a time that suits you. I will confirm your appointment by phone or WhatsApp.

Practice visits, home visits and online sessions

Where is your practice in Ahmedabad?

My practice is in Chandranagar, Ahmedabad. For privacy, I do not list the exact address online. When you book, I will call you and share the address and directions. It is easy to reach from Paldi, Vasna, Ambawadi, Ellisbridge and Narayan Nagar.

Do you offer home visit physiotherapy in Ahmedabad?

Yes. I visit patients at home in Chandranagar, Paldi, Vasna, Ambawadi, Ellisbridge, Navrangpura, Narayan Nagar, Vejalpur, Jodhpur, Satellite, Bopal and nearby areas. Home visits are ideal for older adults, patients after surgery or a stroke, and anyone who finds travel difficult. Please ask when you book if your area is covered.

Do you offer online physiotherapy consultations?

Yes. Online video consultations work well for exercise plans, follow up sessions, posture and desk advice, and for patients who live outside Ahmedabad. For a new injury or when hands on treatment is needed, I recommend a visit at my practice or a home visit first.

Fees

How much does a physiotherapy session cost?

Fees depend on the type of visit, as home visits include travel time. Please call or WhatsApp me and I will tell you the exact fee before you book. There are no hidden charges, and I will explain how many sessions you are likely to need at your first visit.

Your sessions

How long is a physiotherapy session?

The first session usually takes 45 to 60 minutes, because it includes a full assessment, explanation and the start of treatment. Follow up sessions are usually 30 to 45 minutes.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?

It depends on your problem, how long you have had it and how regularly you do your home exercises. A recent strain may need 3 to 6 sessions, while long term pain or rehab after surgery or a stroke needs more. I give you an honest estimate at the first visit and review it as you improve.

What should I wear and bring to my first session?

Wear loose, comfortable clothes that let me see and move the painful area, such as a T shirt with track pants or shorts. Bring any doctor's prescriptions, X-ray, MRI or blood reports, and a list of your medicines.

Is physiotherapy painful?

Physiotherapy should not be very painful. Some exercises and stretches can feel uncomfortable at first, and you may feel a little sore after the first few sessions, which usually settles within a day. I always explain what I am doing and adjust treatment to what you can manage.

About Dr. Meghna and general questions

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist?

You can contact me directly without a referral. If you are already under a doctor's care, please bring their notes. If I find any sign that needs a medical opinion or tests, I will tell you clearly and refer you to the right doctor.

Which languages do you speak with patients?

I speak with patients in Gujarati, Hindi and English. Please use whichever language you are most comfortable with.

Will I be treated by Dr. Meghna herself?

Yes. I am an independent physiotherapist, not a large clinic, so I see and treat every patient myself. Many women patients also feel more comfortable being treated by a woman physiotherapist.

What are your qualifications and experience?

I hold a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.PT) from Gujarat University, studied at SBB College of Physiotherapy, V.S. Hospital, Ahmedabad, and graduated in 2014. I worked for five years at the AMC Physiotherapy Center and five years at other physiotherapy centres before starting my independent practice. I am also a certified fitness trainer with the Indian Academy of Fitness Training.

Do you treat children and babies?

Yes. I treat babies and children with delayed milestones, cerebral palsy, flat feet, toe walking, posture problems, and recovery after fractures or surgery. Sessions are play based, and parents stay with the child throughout.

Can physiotherapy help my elderly parents?

Yes. Physiotherapy helps older adults improve strength, balance and walking, reduce the risk of falls, and manage arthritis pain. I offer home visits for elderly patients and also guide the family on safe ways to help at home.

What should I do in a medical emergency?

This website and my phone line are not for emergencies. If you have chest pain, signs of a stroke such as face drooping or arm weakness, a serious injury, or severe breathlessness, call 108 or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

Is this the same as Health O Holic?

Yes. Health O Holic (healthoholic.co.in) was the name of my earlier website. I now use my own name, Dr. Meghna Oza, and this new website, drmeghnaoza.in. The services, phone number and address are the same.
